Rev. Awood Abraham Jones

Our Shepherd is a man who is in love with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A man of prayer, dependent on God, and set out to seek God’s vision. He is excited about the life he lives from being redeemed and is passionate about seeing those without Christ become followers of the Savior!

About Mt. Zion Baptist Church

The Church where Jesus Christ is Lord, and Everybody is Somebody! Mt. Zion’s goal is to ultimately glorify God, build up His church and reach out to His world by connecting and encouraging members, friends and the community. God is faithful, through whom we were called into fellowship with Him.

Our Mission & Vision

Our duty is to help connect people to faith

Our Mission is to endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the Body of Christ, to evangelize our local community and abroad, and to educate the Body of Christ so that they are able to rightly divide the Word of Truth.

We accept our call of Ministry to “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19,20) and encourage the Saints to become involved in ministry.

Our motivation is from the Holy Spirit to win souls for Jesus Christ, equip the Saints, evaluate our relationship with our Heavenly Father, and to encourage the Body of Christ.

God is faithful, through whom we were called into fellowship with Him.
